In his Monday morning session Carlo Ancelotti began to prepare for Wednesday's visit to Rayo Vallecano, although only with the outfield players who didn't start the Granada game.
As is customary, most of the starters in Sunday's romp at the Bernabéu spent Monday's session doing recovery exercises indoors. That said, a few of them - namely Cristiano
Ronaldo, Toni Kroos, Marcelo and Álvaro Arbeloa - enjoyed a jog out on the training pitch at Valdebebas.
The substitutes and squad members not involved in the 9-1 win, plus Real Madrid C players Diego Caballo, Rai Marchán and Alberto Lozano, were put through their paces by Ancelotti. Iker Casillas, Keylor Navas and Fernando Pacheco, meanwhile, did specific goalkeeping drills.
Pepe, the only Real Madrid player currently in the treatment room, continued to work on his recovery from his right thigh injury. The centre-back is targeting a comeback in next Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Atlético de Madrid.
