Gunning for the full house

Real Madrid had ten matches to go before the thrashing they meted out to Granada. The now famous full house Carlo Ancelotti has talked of securing is, in the Italian coach's books, no mere pipe-dream.

The first hurdle was met with a goal-fest that seems to confirm the improvement seen at Camp Nou. With nine domestic league games now remaining, the players believe that Barcelona can be beaten if they can secure a clean sweep.

Champions league accounts for the other five remaining games this season, consisting of the quarter-finals against Atlético, the semi-finals provided they can end their losing streak against the 'Rojiblancos', and a hypothetical final.

Real Madrid are starting to once again resemble the side that put together a historic run of 22 consecutive wins, a factor bolstering the players' belief in coming back to challenge for the title.

'Los Blancos' are clinging to the improvement shown, to at least having the head-to-head on their side and having a relatively more favourable schedule to that which Barcelona are facing in the run to the line.
